Make the movement teleportation, it doesn't feel bad. Make the turns 45 degree turns and the change doesn't matter. If you don't know, every VR manufacturer (from Oculus to HTC/Valve etc) has found in their research and study that Locomotion ain't so great and there are limitations what MAJORITY can experience. It's rather frustrating that so many VR game developers remove basic movement and forcibly replace it with teleportation and/or on-rails location locked gameplay, just because a vocal minority of people complain about motion sickness. It's still a good game as it is now, just not as satisfying as it could have been.
